This month you could be the lucky winner of a Morgan Boyfriend Jeans pattern courtesy of

All you have to do is add your make or tutorial to the link up below. The winner will be chosen at random at the end of the month, so there is plenty of time to get your jeans made!

Closet Case Jeans: Morgan Boyfriend, Ginger Flared and Ginger Skinny

Although this month is jointly titled Jeans and T-Shirts, for me it is really about the jeans. These are such a wardrobe staple for me, but hard to find in shorter leg lengths. This is a perfect opportunity to get my teeth stuck in to a longer project, which will hopefully result in a pair of made to measure jeans that I can wear everywhere! I have already had a go at making one pair of jeans; the Sew Over It Mia jeans from the City Break eBook. I wear these a lot, but I didn't get a great fit at the waist, and I'd love to make a pair that are a bit more flattering in this area. If you would like to read more about my first go with this pattern you can find more details and a pattern review here.

It's no accident that this month features a Closet Case giveaway...when I think of jeans sewing patterns I immediately think of this indie pattern house. They have quite literally written the book on making your own jeans (ebook, rather) and have a number of styles in their selection. I think the different leg options are something that I'm going to enjoy looking into. I used to be all about the flares and bootcuts, but have got a lot of love for the skinny jean. I don't really have a lot in the way of boyfriend jeans as I'm not sure if these will suit me.

Seamwork Jane, Named Inari and Megan Nielsen Briar tees

Jeans and T-Shirts I really want to add to my wardrobe this year:

Closet Case Files Ginger Skinny Jeans: Well, having spent a year looking at everyone else's awesome Gingers I'm pretty tempted to see if my sewing skills have advanced enough to tackle these successfully. These are definitely top of the list!

Hot Patterns Weekender Boyfriend Jeans: I'm drawn to the cropped version, but not sure if it fits with my wardrobe.

Papercut Patterns Starboard Jeans: These are a bit edgier with zip detailing at the ankles and the pockets.

Megan Nielsen Briar tee: I like the slightly different hem on this pattern.

Plantain by Deer and Doe: this is a FREE pattern!!!! What's not to like!

Scout tee by Grainline Studio: I have seen online that lots of sewists use this as their go to pattern for using up leftover fabric.

Named Inari Tee: This is a popular two in one pattern, with a t-shirt and t-shirt dress that can be made.

I'm also interested in adding some cuff tabs to my t-shirt so I'm going to have a look around for tutorials on how to do this too.

Fabrics I'm loving right now for this project:

Jeans:
Any denim with STRETCH! This is going to make fitting a lot easier!
Croft Mill have something a little different in this Leopard Print denim. As much as I love the idea I don't think this is a 'wardrobe staple'..... for me that is.
Splendid Stitch have a black stretch denim, made for a 'high end high-street' retailer. I don't have any black jeans yet so this one is probably going to be what I go for.
The Denim Company has a good range of denim prints and plains (sounds obvious but you never know).

T-shirt:
No links here because I will be loving any jersey left in my stash - I'm hoping to use up some of those leftovers that I've been hanging on to for my t-shirt. How much I have and how much I need is going to be what drives my fabric choice for this project!

If you want to be able to add to the #wardrobebuilder Pinterest board either email me or leave your details in the comments. you can add your makes and whatever inspires you too.

If you have pattern and fabric suggestions please add them in the comments. Az you can see I focus mainly on indie companies, but would love to see some suggestions from the 'big 4' too.

....and finally. don't forget that makes will be appearing each month in Sew Now magazine. By adding your make to the link up, or on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter and tagging me @petitepassions (or adding to the Pinterest board), your image might find its way onto the monthly column.

Add your makes and tutorials to this month's link up here:
An InLinkz Link-up

(PS: those of you who add a little earlier will be in with a better chance of being featured in next month's edition of Sew Now magazine due to print dates).
